Welcome to the wiki supporting James Collier's section of Writing for the Web (English 4814 at Virginia Tech) fall 2010.

At your earliest convenience, please post a Profile. I know, I know … you likely have a Facebook page brimming with personal details and career aspirations. However, a goal of this class is to have you become familiar with Content Management Systems (CMS), like Wikidot, to which you can post and edit content. In professional settings, CMS are commonplace. A CMS has a similar look and feel to an HTML editor, like Dreamweaver, but with idiosyncratic features, like Wikidot. I want you to use Wikidot in order to get practice adapting quickly to CMS environments. See you on the Profiles page!
